COMMUNIST PARTY of NORWAY PB OF CC
Your Excellency,
Ambassador Hugo Ramos Milanés,
On behalf of the Central Committee of the Norwegian Communist Party (NKP), we wish to convey our deepest condolences and our unwavering solidarity to the people of Cuba, to the families of the Cuban officers who have lost their lives, and to the Cuban state following the criminal acts connected to the United States’ kidnapping of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The loss of these Cuban officers is a grave tragedy. They fell as victims of imperialist aggression directed not only against Venezuela, but against all nations and peoples that dare to pursue an independent path free from domination by imperialists and foreign power. NKP condemns in the strongest possible terms this act of aggression, which constitutes a blatant violation of international law, national sovereignty, and the principles of peaceful coexistence between states.
Such actions are not isolated incidents, but expressions of imperialism in its most naked and violent form. When political objectives cannot be achieved through economic pressure, sanctions, or subversion, imperialism resorts to open coercion, sabotage, and violence. The targeting of Venezuela and the sacrifice of Cuban lives once again expose the ruthless character of contemporary imperialism and its contempt for human life, sovereignty, and self-determination.
Cuba has long stood as a symbol of internationalist solidarity, anti-imperialist resistance, and the dignity of a people who refuse to submit. NKP stands shoulder to shoulder with Cuba and Venezuela in their just struggle to defend their sovereignty against external aggression. We honor the memory of those who lost their lives and reaffirm our commitment to the international struggle against imperialism, war, and exploitation.
Please accept, Your Excellency, our sincere condolences and our fraternal solidarity.
Runa Evensen, Chairperson
Saul Mullard, International secretary
